Yar. I just got back from watching two of the best movies I’ve seen this year. The first one was Memento, and the other was The Princess and the Warrior. Memento totally jarred my mind. I haven’t had to concentrate that hard on a movie’s plot in a long time, and it was a welcome feeling. Great directing by Christopher Nolan. I guess this movie has been out for a while, but I hadn’t heard of it until a couple months ago. The other movie, The Princess and the Warrior, was also pretty sweet. Written and Directed by Tom Tykwer (and also lending his talents to the movie score), this was quite a departure from what he did in Run Lola Run. The only things that seemed reminiscent of that movie are the movie’s score at times, and the lead actress, Franka Potente. Man, she’s pretty gal. This movie had one of the most satisfying endings I’ve ever seen. Good stuff.
Welp, I went out and bought something that tastes exactly like Grape Nuts. Von’s has their own brand, which costs about half the price, and it tastes exactly the same. There’s only a total of like, four or five ingredients, so it’s not like it was hard for them to copy the product. The award-winning name of this product is “Crunchy Nuggets.” Hahahahahahahaha!
I really don’t mind long movies, as long as they’re interesting. Magnolia was fairly long, but a highly enjoyable flick for me. The Princess and the Warrior seemed a litle bit long for the pace of the movie, but I didn’t mind. If you’re gonna watch a movie to escape, you might as well escape for as long as you can. I dunno, it makes sense to me. When the Lord of the Rings movies come out, I hope people are prepared for a lengthy viewing. They’re supposed to be around 3 hours and 20 minutes each (I may be wrong, but whatever). I know I’ll be one who won’t mind one bit.
I just gotta remember to go to the bathroom beforehand.
