    it must be interesting to experience the perspective of western europe during the american credit crisis and upcoming presidential elections. i would like to here the water cooler discussions over there concerning the vp debate…

    Palin is a joke over here, and I would imagine over there as well. Obama is mainly liked, but people mainly just want the Republicans out of office. Nobody–and I mean f’ing nobody–believes this fake “maverick” talk. It’s just a canard to get people to think that McCain/Palin will be different.

    When we saw Eddie Izzard in San Diego (who presumably speaks for all of England, hah!), he urged everybody to vote for Obama, because then the following scenario would take place: currently when Americans travel abroad, the joke is that we have to say we’re Canadians because we’re often disliked from being associated with Bush’s politics; but now, if Obama gets elected, Canadians will be traveling abroad saying that they’re ‘Americans’! Well, take that for what it’s worth.
