Bored on a Saturday

aliceinwonderland_mockturtleVia Matt, here are some anagramical (?) variations on my full name: (i’m posting ones with bad words too because they’re funny–although if you’ve seen the Vagina Monologues then this word has been ‘reclaimed’ for ‘good’ or something)

  • Easel Runic Tie
  • Lease Rice Unit
  • Easier Cunt Lie
  • Realise Cue Tin
  • Sac Uterine Lie
  • Lunatic See Ire
  • Italic See Rune
  • Sauce Liner Tie
  • Care Isle Unite
  • Saucier Eel Tin
  • Cease Urine Lit  – yes, down with the Urine Literature!
  • Latencies I Rue  – any internet gamers know how much latencies indeed rue
  • A Slice Reunite  – reminds me of a scene in this version of Alice in Wonderland – children of the 80’s will know that this was the best Alice in Wonderland adaptation
  • Reliance Suite
  • Cauterise Line

Okay, clearly the best part of this was, from some weird memory association I just had, discovering that that particular Alice in Wonderland mini-series adapation had finally come to DVD!  –although, apparently it’s been out for two years.  We had taped that ourselves on our VHS recorder and I would watch it in the late 80’s.  I used to have dreams about it, especially the jaberwocky scenes as well as the freaky White Queen–Carol Channing!–who turned into a sheep.  Sammy Davis Jr. as the caterpillar?  Telly Savalas as the Cheshire Cat?  Ringo Star as the Mock Turtle???  (I didn’t even know who that was when I was five years old.) Ernest Borgnine as the Lion,  Pat Morita as the Horse, John Stamos as The Messenger, Jonathan Winters as Humpty-Dumpty, and… Scott Baio as Pat the Guinea Pig?  I could go on.  But I won’t.

Eric, Your anagrams are hilarious! I followed your link and got tons for “Kara Joy Lyons-Pardue” (helps to have a double last name, I wager). “Jerky” appeared a LOT in my unedited results … hmmm. But one of my favorites for my name is: “Payolas Yanked Juror” :) I enjoy reading your updates on your British life!

Bored On A Saturday?!?  That sounds like trademark infringement!  I believe a certain production company would not be to pleased with sed use….

Ha ha! Yeah, oddly I only consciously thought about it after I made the post.  I was reminded of the ‘productions’ bit of it for sure and then kept it out of nostalgia. What are your awesome anagrams?
