We recently begun singing the Lord’s Prayer in our liturgy at church. This video captures the hilarity of our finitude as I think only 1 in 50 people actually has the vocal range to sing this song without straining!

Luxology gets high marks for this release. The new features are polished and useful, as are the workflow improvements. To go with an admittedly semi-lame car analogy for a moment: modo 301 doesn’t necessarily feel like a brand new model (good thing: as modo was in great shape already), but it does feel like it has gotten a shiny new coat of speckled lacquer paint, some new low profile, high traction tires and a freshly polished, digitally tricked out dashboard.

My Eight Random Facts/Habits

1. Fact: I still keep up on computer game news via Penny-Arcade and elsewhere even though I can’t remember the last time I even played a computer game.

2. Habit: Similar to Charlie’s, I keep all my movie stubs in an envelop. I’ve been doing this for probably 4 or 5 years.

3. Fact: My wife tells me that older women like me, and this kind of creeps me out (Tiana is the only ‘older’ one allowed! ;). I think it’s because I’ve been told that I look like Kenny Loggins.

4. Habit: I have a habit of trying to change my morning habits — at least the order of doing things. Recently, I started putting on my pants with my left leg first. Sometimes I shave before showing, sometimes I shave after. I take different routes to work depending on my mood…You get the idea.

5. Fact: I’ve had a pair of decent rollerblades for the past 10 years but I think I have only used them no more than 3 times, and those times were all 10 years ago.

6. Fact: I was born with blue eyes but they changed to hazel/green when I was around 5 years old. I got into an argument in Kindergarten with a kid over the color of my eyes and going to smack him, I forgot that I had a pair of ’safety’ scissors in my hand, and I cut his throat a little bit. He was fine– he just had a scar for a few weeks. We ended up becoming best friends for the next few years before I moved to a different school for fourth grade. That is how I found out the color of my eyes changed.

7. Habit: I almost always circle the page number ‘337′ in books that go that high because when looking at that number upside-down, it spells “Lee.” Represent.

8. Fact: I used to fall asleep at night during my Freshman and Sophomore years of college with headphones on listening to metalcore and I had no problem reaching sweet slumber.

Navin R. Johnson: I know we’ve only known each other four weeks and three days, but to me it seems like nine weeks and five days. The first day seemed like a week and the second day seemed like five days. And the third day seemed like a week again and the fourth day seemed like eight days. And the fifth day you went to see your mother and that seemed just like a day, and then you came back and later on the sixth day, in the evening, when we saw each other, that started seeming like two days, so in the evening it seemed like two days spilling over into the next day and that started seeming like four days, so at the end of the sixth day on into the seventh day, it seemed like a total of five days. And the sixth day seemed like a week and a half. I have it written down, but I can show it to you tomorrow if you want to see it.
